Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.71% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Strides Pharma Science(up 0.94 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 0.15 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences(up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Laurus(down 2.21 per cent), Biocon(down 1.81 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 1.57 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 1.43 per cent) and Gland Pharma(down 1.28 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.71 per cent at 13463.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 20.05 points at 18032.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 96.6 points at 60739.81.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Rail Vikas Nigam, IOB and UCO Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Silly Monks Entertai, Gandhi Special, Rainbow Childrens Medicare Ltd., DC Infotech and AXISCADES Engineeri hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mega Flex Plastics Ltd., SREI Infra Fin, Rel Capital, RelDefEngg and Voltas hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
