Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.6% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:39AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.
Sanofi India(up 0.28 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 0.21 per cent) and Natco Pharma(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 4.23 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 1.85 per cent), Laurus(down 1.73 per cent), Granules India(down 1.43 per cent) and Pfizer(down 1.22 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.6 per cent at 12870.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 80.3 points at 18263.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 239.36 points at 61511.24.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 were trading in the green, while 43 were in the red.
Shares of PNB, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Bank of Maharashtra, Zomato Ltd. and Union Bank India were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Faze Three Ltd, TCPL Packaging, Jeena Sikho Lifecare Ltd., Bank of Maharashtra and Honda Siel Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while KCK Industries Ltd., Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd., Arshiya, SS Infrastructure and Everest Kanto hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
