Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.45% in a weak market

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.45 per cent down at 11647.35.

India 10-year bond yield rose 0.05 per cent to 6.03 after trading in 6.02-6.04 range.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Zydus Lifesciences(up 0.9 per cent), Natco Pharma(up 0.4 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 0.31 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 0.07 per cent) and Pfizer(up 0.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Gland Pharma(down 2.84 per cent), Granules India(down 2.58 per cent), Laurus(down 1.78 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(down 1.76 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma(down 1.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.45 per cent at 11647.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 175.05 points at 17414.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 654.16 points at 59152.12.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 9 were trading in the green, while 41 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, Adani Power and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Binani Ind, Tarmat Ltd, Arrow Greentech, Abhishek Integrations Ltd. and Soma Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Antarctica Ltd, Future Consumer, Suumaya Lifestyle, Setco Automotive and Godha Cabcon & Insul hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
