Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.44% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:20AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.
Laurus(up 1.39 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 0.72 per cent), Natco Pharma(up 0.4 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(up 0.09 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 2.07 per cent), Pfizer(down 1.58 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.43 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 1.43 per cent) and Biocon(down 1.35 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.44 per cent at 13546.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 113.9 points at 17039.1, while the BSE Sensex was down 394.33 points at 56967.87.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Adani Power, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank and L&T Fin Holding were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd., GFL Ltd., Inox Leisure, Goa Carbons and Shyam Century Ferro hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Enterprises, Libas Designs, Precision Metaliks Ltd., Subex and Sathavahana Isp hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
