Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.28%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.28 per cent down at 23383.65.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.
Shares of Lupin Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.17 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Biocon Ltd.(down 3.93 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.22 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.28 per cent down at 23383.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 34.8 points at 25418.55, while the BSE Sensex stood up 90.88 points at 83079.66.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of Bajaj Housing Fin, Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, YES Bank and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ecos(India)Mobilit, Aarti Surfactants, Silgo Retail, Modison Metals and Mallcom(India)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Xtglobal Infotech, Stampede Cap(DVR), Shree Tirupati Balaj, Tolins Tyres and Filatex Fashions hit their fresh 52-week lows.
