Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.27% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Pfizer(up 0.98 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(up 0.47 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(up 0.44 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 0.35 per cent) and Abbott India(up 0.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Cipla(down 1.18 per cent), Laurus(down 0.76 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 0.57 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 0.47 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 0.46 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.27 per cent at 14185.2 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 145.25 points at 17499.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 516.08 points at 58769.9.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, RBL Bank and IDFC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of ARSS Infra, Alpa Labs, Swelect Energy, Apollo Micro Systems and Sangam(India)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Felix Industries, Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd., HEC Infra Projects, Shri Ram Switchgears and Opto Circuits hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
