Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.11%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.11 per cent down at 13682.7.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Biocon(up 5.35 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 2.51 per cent), Lupin(up 1.67 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 0.6 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 0.45 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Granules India(down 1.9 per cent), Pfizer(down 1.65 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(down 1.06 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 1.01 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.97 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.11 per cent down at 13682.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 174.65 points at 17938.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 656.04 points at 60098.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 ended in the green, while 36 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Alok Industries, Suzlon Energy and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Precision Wires, Khandwala Sec, Shiva Texyarn, OnMobile Global and Menon Bearings hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while McDowell Hold, PayTM, Spandana Sphoorty, IGL and Mas Fin Services hit their fresh 52-week lows.
