Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.08% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:55AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Sanofi India Ltd.(up 2.19 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.0 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(up 0.89 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 3.16 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.92 per cent) and Lupin Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.08 per cent at 22190.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 7.85 points at 24359.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 28.21 points at 79734.12.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and IRFC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Sakuma Exports, SMS Lifesciences Ind, Airan Ltd. and Lakshmi Finance hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akshar Spintex, Quintegra Sol, Nandani Creation, Mask Investments and Bohra Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
