Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.03%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.03 per cent down at 13579.9.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Friday.
Shares of Natco Pharma(up 2.76 per cent), Lupin(up 2.47 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 2.34 per cent), Granules India(up 2.15 per cent) and Gland Pharma(up 2.14 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Ipca Laboratories(down 3.6 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(down 3.52 per cent), Abbott India(down 1.08 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.66 per cent) and Divis Laboratories(down 0.51 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.03 per cent down at 13579.9.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 205.7 points at 17670.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 708.18 points at 59276.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 ended in the green, while 11 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Adani Power, YES Bank, BHEL and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Andhra Paper, Vidhi Specialty Food, Osia Hyper Retail, Jagsonpal Pharm and Adani Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Felix Industries, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Swaraj Suiting Ltd., Perfect Infraenginee and Ganga Forging hit their fresh 52-week lows.
