Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 1.33% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:50AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Laurus(up 2.71 per cent), Lupin(up 1.75 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 1.71 per cent), Cipla(up 1.67 per cent) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Abbott India(down 0.53 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was up 1.33 per cent at 12823.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 223.6 points at 18083.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 800.65 points at 60701.02.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 48 were trading in the green, while 1 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, IDBI Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Prozone Intu Proper, 3P Land Holdings, Rama Steel Tubes, Pearl Polymers and Windsor Machine hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sumeet Ind, Jyoti Structure, RBM Infracon Ltd., CMM Infraprojects Ltd. and Paras Petrofils hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
