Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 1.08% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:19AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 5.21 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 2.55 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 1.92 per cent) and Biocon Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 1.08 per cent at 23559.25 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 124.2 points at 25137.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 409.21 points at 82044.02.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Bajaj Housing Fin and Ola Electric Mobilit were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Keynote Financial, Torrent Power, Adroit Infotech, Strides Shasun and Divis Labs hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vinny Overseas, MEP Infrastructure, SecUR Credentials, Arshiya and Indo Us Bio-Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
