Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.93% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 09:59AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

Abbott India Ltd.(up 8.84 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.15 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 1.63 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.93 per cent at 18005.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 226.65 points at 21924.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 716.75 points at 72362.05.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 were trading in the green, while 6 were in the red.

Shares of NBCC , NHPC, Vodafone Idea, PNB and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of NBCC , Kitex Garments, Texmaco Infra, Kriti Ind and Royal Orchid hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while PayTM, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Future Consumer, Latteys Industries and Shree Ram Proteins hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
