Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.68% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Gland Pharma(up 4.01 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(up 2.19 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 1.9 per cent), Granules India(up 1.23 per cent) and Divis Laboratories(up 1.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Biocon(down 0.4 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.68 per cent at 12944.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 87.5 points at 18689.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 320.93 points at 63045.64.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea, Zomato and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Nagreeka Export, Signet Ind, Inox Wind Energy, Sarthak Metals and Synergy Green Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Suumaya Lifestyle, Sahana System, Rachana Infrastructu, GHCL Textiles and Sintex Plastics Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
