Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.61% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.61 per cent up at 19664.55.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 09:58AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.
Granules India Ltd.(up 3.53 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.27 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.61 per cent at 19664.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 26.3 points at 23593.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 5.62 points at 77484.55.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, National Fertilizers, YES Bank and Rashtriya Chemicals were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of LGB Forge, Shradha Infraproject, Gravita India, Raymond and Time Technoplast hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Excel Realty N Infra, Radaan Media, Reliance Home Fin, Integra Garment and Paras Petrofils hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
