Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.41% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 11:15AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.
Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 1.86 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.41 per cent at 15114.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 49.25 points at 19578.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 145.39 points at 65773.53.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Indian Railway Fin, YES Bank, JP Power, MMTC and Trident Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Century Extrus, MMTC, Raymond, Bombay Dyeing and Zeal Global Services hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Sanco Industries, Allcargo Terminals, GNA Axles and Arvee Laboratories hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
