Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.36% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:19AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 3.08 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.47 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.36 per cent at 22186.4 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 29.6 points at 24570.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 51.58 points at 80488.42.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Vinny Overseas, Radhika Jeweltech, Maha Rashtra, Sterling Tools and Dynacons Sys hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Premier Ltd, Lakshmi Precis, N K Industries, Grand Foundry and Creative Eye hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
