Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.13% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Laurus(up 1.98 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.94 per cent), Cipla(up 0.59 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 0.4 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences(up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Gland Pharma(down 3.7 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.19 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 0.43 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 0.31 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories(down 0.25 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.13 per cent at 13104.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 17.25 points at 18635.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 37.13 points at 62718.97.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., YES Bank, HUDCO and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of HUDCO, Likhitha Infra, SBC Exports, Taj GVK Hotels and Arrow Greentech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while FutureLifestyleFash, Nureca Ltd., Jump Networks, Ishan International Ltd. and Indiabulls Intgrtd hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
