Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.07% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:50AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Gland Pharma(up 6.07 per cent), Granules India(up 1.09 per cent), Pfizer(up 0.9 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 0.46 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories(up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Ipca Laboratories(down 2.18 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 1.34 per cent), Cipla(down 0.38 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 0.36 per cent) and Biocon(down 0.33 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.07 per cent at 13002.2 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 19.55 points at 18735.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 0.54 points at 63143.7.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Brightcom Group and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of GKW Ltd, Uma Exports, Ducol Organics & Col, Signet Ind and Baid Leasing hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while D P Abhushan, Swastik Pipe, Infollion Research, Sahana System and Rachana Infrastructu hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
