Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 2.13%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a note on Monday.
Shares of Biocon Ltd.(up 1.18 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 5.26 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 4.87 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 4.32 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 4.23 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.23 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 2.13 per cent at 21903.35.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 345.55 points at 23085.95, while the BSE Sensex stood 1048.9 points at 76330.01.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 4 ended in the green, while 46 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Zomato and IREDA were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Atlas Cycles, Univastu India, ARSS Infra, Bharatiya Global Infomedia and Indo Thai Sec hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Khandwala Sec, Senores Pharmaceutic, Indo Farm Equipment, Master Trust and Cinevista Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows.
