Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 1.46% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded around 11:20AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 3.62 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 2.86 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was 1.46 per cent at 22396.50 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 112.91 points at 24223.1, while the BSE Sensex was 405.15 points at 80279.3.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of Vishal Mega Mart, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy and Sai Life Science were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Sambhaav Media, Bajaj Healthcare, Cosmo Films, Rudrabhishek Ent and Zinka Logistics Solu hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sanghi Ind, Odigma Consultancy, Spandana Sphoorty, Universus Photo and PTC India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
