Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.94%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a note on Wednesday.

Shares of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Lupin Ltd.(down 4.48 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 2.92 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.34 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.94 per cent at 23011.10.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 18.96 points at 23688.95, while the BSE Sensex stood 50.62 points at 78148.49.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Ola Electric Mobilit, ITI Ltd and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ashapura Minechem, Pokarna Ltd, Ami Organics, Anant Raj and Mazda Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Spacenet Enterprise, Rana Sugars, Baid Leasing, Odigma Consultancy and Digjam hit their fresh 52-week lows.
