Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.74% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded around 10:09AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.23 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 0.15 per cent) and Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 5.46 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 4.08 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.67 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was 0.74 per cent at 22269.30 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 87.8 points at 24590.0, while the BSE Sensex was 268.99 points at 81440.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ITI Ltd, NHPC and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Rajdarshan Ind, Ind Swift Ltd, Ceat, T T Ltd and Robust Hotels hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Visa Steel Ltd, Coffee Day Ent, Bright Solar, Stampede Cap and Excel Realty N Infra hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
