Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.57% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded around 11:10AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Lupin Ltd.(down 2.6 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 2.56 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.5 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was 0.57 per cent at 23095.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 141.81 points at 23566.1, while the BSE Sensex was 484.38 points at 77714.73.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ITI Ltd, Ibull Real Estate and Ola Electric Mobilit were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Pokarna Ltd, Ashapura Minechem, Indo Tech Transformers, Power & Instrument and Atlas Cycles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Spacenet Enterprise, Odigma Consultancy, Digjam, Baid Leasing and Birlasoft hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
