Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.18%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a note on Thursday.
Shares of Granules India Ltd.(up 4.41 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.0 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 1.86 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.57 per cent), Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 2.54 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.8 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent) and Biocon Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.18 per cent at 22463.40.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 240.96 points at 24708.4, while the BSE Sensex stood 809.53 points at 81765.86.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zomato, YES Bank, Ola Electric Mobilit and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Manba Finance, Sambhaav Media, BSE, Bang Overseas and Madhav Copper hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shrem InvIT, Dhanvarsha Finvest, McLeod Russel, Setubandhan Infra and 3rd Rock MultiMedia hit their fresh 52-week lows.
