Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.12% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded around 11:17AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.
Granules India Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.55 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was 0.12 per cent at 22554.80 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 32.85 points at 24166.5, while the BSE Sensex was 35.49 points at 79506.3.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, ITI Ltd, JP Power and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of JSW Holdings, Tera Software, Shiva Texyarn, GKW Ltd and Avalon Technologies hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Aditya Vision, Ola Electric Mobilit, Prince Pipes, Arman Financial and Brainbees Solutions hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
