NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a note on Wednesday.
Shares of MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.9 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.1 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) and Coforge Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.0 per cent at 41570.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 71.36 points at 24770.2, while the BSE Sensex stood up 102.44 points at 80905.3.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 ended in the green, while 13 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, Ola Electric Mobilit, FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Rane Brake Lining, Nelco Ltd, Rane Eng Valve, Rane(Madras)and Lyka Labs hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while GSS Infotech, Divgi Torqtransfer, Brainbees Solutions, Suyog Telematics and Arman Financial hit their fresh 52-week lows.
