Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.57%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.
Shares of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.54 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.6 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.57 per cent down at 32479.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 168.3 points at 20855.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 431.02 points at 69296.14.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 ended in the green, while 16 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, JP Power, YES Bank and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Adani Power, Adani Ports SEZ, Transwarr Fin, Spencer's Retail and Inox Green Energy Se hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Flair Writing Indust, Raj Rayon, Winsome Yarns, ASK Automotive and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week lows.
