Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.46% in a weak market
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.46 per cent down at 35705.1.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 10:19AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.
HCL Technologies(up 0.7 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.33 per cent), MPhasis(up 0.03 per cent) and L&T Technology(up 0.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Wipro(down 1.12 per cent), Tata Consultancy(down 0.99 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 0.69 per cent), Mindtree(down 0.48 per cent) and Infosys(down 0.48 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.46 per cent at 35705.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 85.9 points at 17721.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 329.03 points at 59281.38.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy and Shree Ren Sug were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Shree Ren Sug, Uma Exports Ltd., BLS Int. Services, Mohit Inds and TheBykeHospitality hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Debock Sales & Mktg, Shakti Pumps and Felix Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
