Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.37% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.
Infosys(up 0.56 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Mindtree(down 2.25 per cent), L&T Technology(down 1.92 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 1.91 per cent), Coforge(down 1.31 per cent) and Wipro(down 0.85 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.37 per cent at 27851.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 30.45 points at 17155.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 87.61 points at 57832.36.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd. and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Electronics Mart India Ltd., Jay Jalaram Technologies Ltd., Shemaroo Entertain, BLS Int. Services and Focus Lighting hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Debock Sales & Mktg, Vaxtex Cotfab, Gangotri Text, Tembo Global Indust and Akshar Spintex hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
