Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.3% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Coforge(up 0.56 per cent), Wipro(up 0.56 per cent), Mindtree(up 0.39 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.14 per cent) and HCL Technologies(up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.
L&T Technology(down 1.54 per cent), Tata Consultancy(down 0.74 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 0.68 per cent), Infosys(down 0.38 per cent) and MPhasis(down 0.16 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.3 per cent at 34276.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.35 points at 17536.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 10.95 points at 58565.42.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Redington, Magma Fincorp and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd., Anand Rathi Wealth Ltd., Krishana Phoschem, Jash Engineering and Hardwyn India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Innovative Tyres & T hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
Coforge(up 0.56 per cent), Wipro(up 0.56 per cent), Mindtree(up 0.39 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.14 per cent) and HCL Technologies(up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.
