Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.21% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.
Wipro(up 0.38 per cent), Infosys(up 0.31 per cent), MPhasis(up 0.31 per cent) and HCL Technologies(up 0.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Mindtree(down 3.15 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 2.63 per cent), L&T Technology(down 0.8 per cent), Coforge(down 0.75 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(down 0.16 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.21 per cent at 26893.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 76.5 points at 16043.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 250.92 points at 53765.07.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea and Brightcom Group were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Spacenet Enterprise, PC Jeweller, GRP Ltd, Monte Carlo Fashion and TD Power Sys hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Suumaya Lifestyle, Sintex Plastics Tech, Future Consumer, NGL Fine Chem and JBF Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
