Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.18%
The Nifty IT index closed 0.18 per cent down at 28583.45.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Coforge(up 1.04 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.66 per cent) and Wipro(up 0.31 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, L&T Technology(down 1.92 per cent), Persistent Systems(down 1.43 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd(down 1.33 per cent), Infosys(down 0.31 per cent) and HCL Technologies(down 0.09 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.18 per cent down at 28583.45.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 9.8 points at 18122.5, while the BSE Sensex stood down 17.15 points at 60910.28.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, IOB, PNB, Suzlon Energy and Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Dollex Agrotech Ltd., Aries Agro, Network People Services Technologies Ltd., Arvind SmartSpaces and FACT hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Godha Cabcon & Insul, Sintex Inds., C.E. Info Systems Ltd., Goenka Diamond and Baheti Recycling Industries Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
