Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.09%
The Nifty IT index closed 0.09 per cent down at 29843.45.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Coforge(up 1.84 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 0.79 per cent), Persistent Systems(up 0.51 per cent) and Infosys(up 0.38 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 2.78 per cent), MPhasis(down 2.5 per cent), L&T Technology(down 1.19 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd(down 0.89 per cent) and HCL Technologies(down 0.23 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.09 per cent down at 29843.45.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 72.65 points at 19672.35, while the BSE Sensex stood down 299.48 points at 66384.78.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 20 closed in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SJVN and Utkarsh Small Financ were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kriti Nutrients, Wendt India, Aarti Drugs, Sarveshwar Foods and Thangamayil Jew hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Zee Learn, Proventus Agrocom, Setubandhan Infra, Pentagon Rubber and Drone Destination hit their fresh 52-week lows.
