Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 2.43% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Wipro Ltd.(up 8.32 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.52 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 3.19 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.3 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.8 per cent) were among the top gainers.

L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty IT index was up 2.43 per cent at 37407.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 101.16 points at 21995.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 437.56 points at 73006.01.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Fin, YES Bank, Infibeam Avenues, Vodafone Idea and Bank of Maharashtra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Dhanlaxmi Bank, MRPL, Indian Railway Fin, Mas Fin Services and Indian Card Clothing hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Digidrive Distributo, Raj Rayon, Happy Forgings and Muthoot Microfin hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
