Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.83% in a weak market
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.83 per cent up at 28231.55.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 11:12AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.
LTIMindtree Ltd(up 1.35 per cent), Infosys(up 1.27 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 1.12 per cent), Persistent Systems(up 0.71 per cent) and Wipro(up 0.47 per cent) were among the top gainers.
L&T Technology(down 0.28 per cent) and HCL Technologies(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.83 per cent at 28231.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 26.1 points at 17050.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 32.97 points at 57892.31.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., Campus Activewear Ltd. and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of IZMO, Sterling Tools, AB Infrabuild, Nagreeka Capital and Binani Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Jet Knitwears, Future Enterprises, Kavveri Telecom, Puravankara and Ankit Metal Pwr hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
