Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.34% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Coforge(up 2.13 per cent), L&T Technology(up 1.13 per cent), Wipro(up 0.92 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.51 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.

LTIMindtree Ltd(down 0.2 per cent) and Infosys(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty IT index was up 0.34 per cent at 29029.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 57.45 points at 18874.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 227.34 points at 63555.04.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, Zee Ent. and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Keerti Knowledge, Subros, Blue Chip India, Gulshan Polyols and Oil Country Tub hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Viaz Tyres, Kore Digital, Rachana Infrastructu, Sri Adhikari and Quality Foils(India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
