Stock market update: Nifty IT index 0.74% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded around 11:10AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 2.09 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 1.9 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.6 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty IT index was 0.74 per cent at 45163.95 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.71 points at 24640.7, while the BSE Sensex was 81.78 points at 81590.24.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Trident Ltd, ITI Ltd, IRB Infra Dev. and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Orient Press, Greaves Cotton, Gujarat Raffia, Kridhan Infra and Setco Automotive hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Rossell Techsys, Suraksha Diagnostic, WABCO India, Axita Cotton and Pansari Developers hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
