Stock market update: Nifty IT index 0.66% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded around 10:34AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.07 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.79 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.6 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty IT index was 0.66 per cent at 44117.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 108.1 points at 23861.55, while the BSE Sensex was 319.02 points at 78859.19.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 were trading in the green, while 6 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Hind Const Co, Sagility India, Zomato and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of AdityaBirlaMoney, Asian Hotels, Sundaram Brake, KFIN Technologies and Mohit Inds hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Odigma Consultancy, NRB Industrial, Satia Industries, Suraksha Diagnostic and Regency Ceramic hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
