Stock market update: Nifty IT index 0.64% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded around 11:08AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 2.27 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(up 2.1 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.64 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 1.5 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Infosys Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was 0.64 per cent at 43608.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 436.41 points at 24343.65, while the BSE Sensex was 1330.71 points at 80447.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 47 were trading in the green, while 3 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zomato, Suzlon Energy, IFCI and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Vimta Labs, Next Mediaworks, The Anup Engg, Nesco Ltd and Oil Country Tub hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Astron Paper & Board, JP Associates, Infomedia Press, Premier Ltd and Bright Solar hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
