Stock market update: Nifty IT index 0.03% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded around 10:29AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.44 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.18 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.06 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Coforge Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty IT index was 0.03 per cent at 43326.45 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 1.21 points at 23646.0, while the BSE Sensex was 48.67 points at 78187.68.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SJVN, Sagility India, ITI Ltd and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Bliss GVS Pharma, Bajaj Healthcare, EPACK Durables, Indo Thai Sec and Atlas Cycles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akme Fintrade(India, Setubandhan Infra, Mamata Machinery, Regency Ceramic and Smartlink Holdings hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
