Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.86% in a weak market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.86 per cent down at 36409.45.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.
Bank of Baroda(up 0.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Axis Bank(down 1.97 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.72 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 0.93 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 0.89 per cent) and Federal Bank(down 0.88 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.86 per cent at 36409.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 113.05 points at 16517.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 390.46 points at 55375.76.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Delta Corp and Vedanta were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of eMudhra Ltd., Kirloskar Elec, Vinati Organics, Vinyl Chemicals and Hardwyn India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Tanla Solutions, Zomato Ltd., Future Retail, RM Drip and Sprinkle and Sterlite Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
Bank of Baroda(up 0.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.
