Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.06% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:51AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

AU Small Finance Bank(up 0.74 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.54 per cent), HDFC Bank(up 0.51 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.33 per cent) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.

IDFCBANK(down 1.94 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 1.08 per cent), Federal Bank(down 0.83 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 0.81 per cent) and Axis Bank(down 0.77 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Bank index was down 0.06 per cent at 39372.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 48.0 points at 16993.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 153.89 points at 57680.99.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, PNB, Suzlon Energy and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Pondy Oxides, IZMO, Bharat Wire Ropes, Nagreeka Capital and Binani Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Clariant Chem, Globe Textiles(Ind, Future Consumer, Vikas Proppant & Gr and Indiabulls Intgrtd hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
