Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.33% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:50AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Bank of Baroda(up 2.3 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 1.24 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.65 per cent), Federal Bank(up 0.56 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(up 0.48 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bandhan Bank(down 0.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Bank index was up 0.33 per cent at 46215.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 22.5 points at 19800.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 26.94 points at 66734.14.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, PNB and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Netweb Technologies, Vesuvius India, Raj Oil Mills, Foseco India and Allsec Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while JohnsonCtrls Hitachi, Ace Integrated Solut, Advitiya Trade India, Pentagon Rubber and Aakash Exploration hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
