Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.24%
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.24 per cent up at 43689.15.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.5 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.31 per cent) and IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.23 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 1.95 per cent), Bank of Baroda(down 0.96 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 0.44 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 0.39 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.24 per cent up at 43689.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 89.4 points at 19783.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 275.62 points at 65930.77.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RattanIndia Power, JP Power and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Emami Realty, Dhunseri Invst, Sastasundar Ventures, DRC Systems India and RattanIndia Infra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while ideaForge Technology, Fourth Dimension Sol, Debock Sales & Mktg, Winsome Yarns and IRM Energy hit their fresh 52-week lows.
