Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.05% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:15AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 1.16 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 1.07 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.51 per cent) and IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Bank index was up 0.05 per cent at 47339.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 18.75 points at 21015.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 27.01 points at 69955.54.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Indian Renewable, Reliance Power, JP Power and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Energy Deve Co, Surana Solar, Indian Renewable, Delta Manufacturing and BAG Films hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vaxtex Cotfab, Raj Rayon, Bohra Industries, Winsome Yarns and Blue Jet Healthcare hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
