NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded flat around 10:19AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.
Bosch Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent), MRF Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent) and Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 0.71 per cent) were among the top gainers.
TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 3.2 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent), Apollo Tyres Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was flat 0.0 per cent at 22352.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.41 points at 24334.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 35.21 points at 80253.58.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, UCO Bank, Tata Technologies, Canara Bank and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of United Polyfab Gujar, Manorama Ind, Solar Ind., Panacea Biotec and Silver Touch Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gensol Engg, Karda Const, Stampede Cap, Uma Exports and Stampede Cap(DVR)hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
