Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.63% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 11:21AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

TIINDIA(up 0.25 per cent) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Balkrishna Industries(down 2.0 per cent), Tata Motors(down 1.61 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(down 1.42 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 1.4 per cent) and Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 1.36 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was down 0.63 per cent at 14609.2 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 59.8 points at 18711.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 120.64 points at 63118.25.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, IDFC First Bank and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Wheels India, Synergy Green Ind, Ducol Organics & Col, De Nora India and Vasa Denticity hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while A G Universal, Urban Enviro Waste, Spectrum Talent Mana, Infollion Research and Adani Gas hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
