Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.62%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a negative note on Friday.
Shares of TIINDIA(up 4.08 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(up 1.11 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.05 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Bharat Forge(down 1.79 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 1.68 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.44 per cent), Bajaj Auto(down 1.0 per cent) and Tata Motors(down 0.96 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.62 per cent down at 15363.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 120.9 points at 19265.8, while the BSE Sensex stood down 365.83 points at 64886.51.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 9 ended in the green, while 41 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Jio Financial Servic, Suzlon Energy, JP Power and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ind-Swift Labs, Parag Milk Foods, Virescent Renewable, GFL Ltd. and Electrostl Cast hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sadhana Nitro, Penta Gold, Hotel Rugby, Yasho Industries and Zeal Global Services hit their fresh 52-week lows.
