Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.61% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 11:25AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.
TIINDIA(up 1.23 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 0.73 per cent), Bharat Forge(up 0.31 per cent), Bosch(up 0.21 per cent) and Exide Industries(up 0.2 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Hero MotoCorp(down 2.01 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 1.75 per cent), Bajaj Auto(down 1.6 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 1.43 per cent) and Amara Raja Batteries(down 1.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.61 per cent at 11611.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.65 points at 17566.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 10.41 points at 58798.43.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ITC, Reliance Power and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ambika Cotton, Linc Pen Plast, Bombay Super Hybrid, Trans & Rectif and AVT Nat Prod hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Precision Metaliks Ltd., Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., McDowell Hold, Uniinfo Telecom Serv and Gillette India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
