Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.31% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:44AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

TIINDIA(up 0.92 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 0.63 per cent), Bosch(up 0.14 per cent), MRF(up 0.09 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Hero MotoCorp(down 1.26 per cent), Bajaj Auto(down 1.02 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 0.92 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 0.66 per cent) and Bharat Forge(down 0.48 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Auto index was down 0.31 per cent at 15279.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 34.45 points at 19400.1, while the BSE Sensex was down 52.16 points at 65349.76.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of SBFC Finance, Indian Railway Fin, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power and IOB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of SBFC Finance, GRSE, Krishca Strapping So, AB Cotspin India and Cochin Shipyard hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while BKM Industries, Synoptics Technologi, Oriana Power, Richa Info Systems L and Allcargo Terminals hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
